Hancock Review
by: Michael Lee
Starring: Will Smith, Jason Bateman, Charlize Theron
Year: 2008
It's Not Everyday You Get To See A Guy Get His Head Shoved Up Another Guy's Butt. It's Not Everyday You Get To See A Homeless Superhero Either. These Two Factors Made The Movie For Me. It's Refreshing To See A New Take On A Tired Genre. Will Smith Was Perfect As John Hancock, A Hero Who Does More Bad Than Good Until A PR Expert Decides To Change Hancock For The Better. That's Where The Movie Starts To Drag. The First 30 Minutes Are Hilarious As A Foul-Mouthed Hancock Tells Off Everything From Little Boys To Older Ladies In A Drunken Rage. But Once He Stops, The Movie Feels Like Every Other Superhero Movie, Though Thats Not Bad, It Had Enough Action In It To Keep Me Interested. At Times this Moive Reminded Me Of Spider-man And Other Times Superman. I Didn't Like The Plot Twist At The End Of The Movie. It Didn't Really Make Sense To Me And It Made Charlize Theron's Character Seemed Schizo At Times. Though It Isn't Will Smith's Best Movie, I Really Enjoyed This. I Highly Recomend The First 45 Minutes And You Should Probably Stick Around to See The End Too.
