The Lost Boys: The Tribe Review

By: Michael Lee

Starring: Cory Feldman, Autumn Reeser, Tad Hilgenbrink
Year:
2008

I'm Getting Sick And Tired Of Straight-To-DVD Sequels That Are Basically Remakes Of The Orginals. Did You Know They Just Realeased A "WarGames" Sequel? It Has The Same Plot And I'm Positive It Will Be Nowhere's As Good As The Original "WarGames" (Which I'm Quite Fond Of). Actually, I'm Tired Of Just About All Sequels That Are Just Remakes Of Originals. "Terminator 2" Was And Original Sequel. We Need More Sequels Like T2, But Instead, We Get the Lost Boys 2. I'm In Love With The Original "Lost Boys", And I Think It Is Way Better Than Any Other Of Joel Schumacher's Work (Espcially "Batman & Robin"). That Movie Had A Great Cast, An Amazing Story, An Awesome Soundtrack, And Some Pretty Frighting Images For It's Time. This Movie Has A Not-As-Good Copy Of All Of Those Thing. Some Members Of The Cast Were Great (Like Autumn Reeser, Who's Hotness Is The Best Thing About This Movie And Deserves She to Be In More Movies, And Tad Hilgenbrink, Who Started In "American Pie: Band Camp" As Stifler's Little Brother). The Story In TLB2 Is Basically The Same. A Teenager Becomes A Half-Vampire By Drinking Vampire Blood at A Party, And It's Up To That teenager's Brother To Save Them With The Help Of Cory Feldman. I Did Like The Call Back's To The Original Film, Like The Parents Of The Main Character Were Star And Michael Emerson From The Original (But They Die Before The Movie Starts) And Cory Haim Makes A Mid-Credit Cameo At The End.The Music In This Movie Is The Exact Same, Minus Any Echo And The Bunnymen Covers Of The Doors' Songs. This Movie Uses The Same Theme Song ("Cry Little Sister") But This Time Aiden Did A Cover Of It. I Like Aiden But It's Not As Powerful As The Original. And Finally, This Movie Chose Gore Over Actual Suspense, And Trust Me, There Is Alot Of Gore. A Friend Of Mine Posted A Bulletin About This Movie A Few Weeks Ago. She Desribed It In Two Words: IT SUCKED. I Wouldn't Go As Far To Say It Sucked, Actually For A Straight-To-DVD Release, It's A Good Sequel, But No Where As Good As The Original.
