The Nightmare Berfore Christmas 3-D Review

By: Michael Lee

Starring: William Hickey, Glen Shadix, Ken Page
Year:
2006 (Orginal Release 1993)

I'm Thankful That This Movie Is Re-released Every Year Around Halloween, Especially, Since It Is In 3-D. I Went A Few Years Back With My Younger Cousins (They Dreaded To See It, As They Were At That Age In Which You Think It's Uncool To Go To The Movies To See An Animated Movie.) The Nightmare Before Christmas Had Alway Been One Of My Favorite Movies, And Seeing It In 3-D Blew My Mind. It Was Such A Beautiful Movie. The Animation Was Spectacular, The Visuals Were Excaptional, And The Music, Well The Music Left Me Sppechless. When the Re-released Soundtrack Came Out, I Was Pleasently Surprised To See My Favorite Band, Fall Out Boy, Cover My Favorite Song For the Movie, "What's This?". I Have A Love/Hate Relationship With Tim Burton. I Love The Visuals His Movies Have To Offer, Especially His Use Of Colors ("Edward Scissorhands", I'm Looking At You) But Just Who He Is In Person Bugs Me. He's To Gothis. He Frequently Claims He Has Nevr read A Comic Book, Yet He Directed The 1989 "Batman" Movie. The Joker Didn't Wear Make Up (Or As Chris Pointed Out, Uses Fleash-Colored Make-up To Hide His Bleached Skin) For Over Half the Movie And It Shows Tim Incompetence To Originality when He Sets Up The Joker As Bruce Waynes Killer. But Anyways, Back To "Nightmare". It's A Great Movie, And Even Better In 3-D. Definatley Worth Checking Out.
