So I've Heard Alot Of Reviews On Cloverfield. Some Great, Some Horrible. I Thought Cloverfield Was Good. The Great Reviews I've Heard Said Cloverfield Was A Great Monster For The Myspace Generation, With Great Storytelling (The Fact You Know Whats Happening Without Actually Finding Out What Is Happening). The Bad Reviews Were About How Stupid The Plot Was, And How Lackluster The Monster Was. The Shacky Camera Work Was Dived Between Great And Horrible. I Have Been Following This Movie Since The Teaser Trailer Came Out In July 2007. I Was Intrigued By The Fact They Would Not Reveal The Monster In The Trailer, and It Only Facinated Me More That No Name Was Given For The Movie.
When I Finally Saw Cloverfield (Which Was Originally The Codename For The Movie, Which Then Became The Actual Title) I Thought It Was Cool. I Loved How You Found Out Nothing About The Creature Except It Was Ticked And It Was Destroying Everything. I Liked The Monster, But I Think I Was Expecting More. Well, Actually, I Think I Was Expecting It To Catch On More. I Thought The Monster would Be The Next Godzilla, But I Feel The Advertising Prevented That. Cloverfield Would Now Be Known More For The Lack Of The Monster In It's Trailer, Than The Actual Monster In The Movie. Around School, I Heard The Acting Was Bad, And The Characters Were Unlikable. I Think The Characters Made The Movie. Hud, The Camera Guy, Was My Favorite. He Was Hilarious And I Was Hurt When The Monster Gobbled Him Up. Others Said The ending Was Dumb. Well, What Do You Expect When All The Characters Are Killed Off? The Only Logical Choice Is To End The Movie. My Little Cousin Stated That The Plot Made No Sense. Now, He Heard This From A Friend Who Told Him Cloverfield Was Dumb, So When He Finally Saw It When It Was Released On DVD, He Was Already Biased About It. The Plot, A Guy Goes On A Monster Infested Journey To Save The Woman He Loves, Has Been Around Since the Begging Of Fantasy Stories. Think Of Sleeping Beauty Or The Illiad. In The End, Cloverfield is a Movie That Will Divide People Into Two Camps. One Group Is Going To Love It For Its Innovative Camera Work And The Other Is Going To Hate The Shaky Overhyped Images That Result.
