The Mist Is Brutal. It Is Filled With Twists And Turns, And Just When I Thought I Had The Movie Figured Out, It Goes In A Completely New Direction. The Final Moments Of The Movie Shocked Me And I Believe The Mist Has My Second Favorite Movie Ending Ever (Right Behind "Dumb And Dumber's") I Loved To Hate Marcia Gay Harden's Overly Religious Character, Who Claimed That The Events In The Mist Were Part Of Judgement Day. One-By-One She Transformed The Characters Into Cult Followers, All Creepy In Their Own Way. Like "Signs" And "Dawn Of The Dead" Almost The Whole Movie Is Set In One Small Place, This Time A Supermarket. It Gives The Movie A Clausterphobic Feel That I Love In Horror Movies. There Isn't Just One Monster In "The Mist" But Tons, all From Your Nightmars. There Is a Colossal Behemoth That Reminds Me Of A Squid/Elephant Mix, Giant Spider-like Creatures, A Crab-like Super-Beast, Albino Pterodactyls, And Some Dragonfly Like Things. They Are All Beautifully Terrifying In Their Own Way. I Thought This Movie Was Going To Be Stupid When I First Heard Of It, "The Fog" Comes To Mind, But I Was Pleasently Surprised. Check It Out When You Get The Chance, It's Ten Times Better Than Any Recent Japenese Horror Remake.
