The Simpson's Movie Review

By: Michael Lee

Starring: The Simpsons, Tom Hanks, Al Brooks
Year:
2007

Okay, I'm A Huge Simpsons Fan, So This Is Really Gonnaa Get Biased, But I Couldn't Bring Myself To Let Chris Review It. It Was Funny. One Of The Funniest Movies To Come Out In 2007. I Laughed So Hard At The Twisted Austin Powers-Like Gag, I Could've Cried. Another Suttle Gag That Cracked Me Up So Much, I Was Embarrassed In The Theatre. It Was When They Left Grandpa In The Car To Go Eat Waffles. I'm Not Gonna Ruin It. Heck, You Might Not Even Find It That Funny. I Don't Know, It Was Just Hilarious To Me. Even Then, Those Jokes Are Just The Tip Of The Ice Berg. The Simpsons Are Older Than I Am, Cracking People Up Since 1989. The People That Claim The Simpsons Quality Has Declined In The Past Years Can Enjoy This Movie, With Tons Of The Writers Coming Back. Guest Apparences Include Tom Hanks And Green Day, With Each Contributing To The Plot, Which Is Hard to Describe, And I Don't Want To Ruin Anything To Those Of You Who Have Not Seen It, But It Basically Involves Homer Simpsons Effing Up The Environment So Bad In Springfield He Has To Run Away To Alaska. It's Pretty Unrealistic, But Then again It Is A Cartoon. I Had A Couple Of Problem With This Movie, However, One Being The 87 Minute Run Time Which I Wish Was Longer. Others Were Certain Gags. One Was When Marge Runs Back Into Her Burning House To Get Her Wedding Video And Then Stopping To Wash A Dish, Another Where Homer Falls On Top Of A Grill And Uses Some Sort Of Toad-Like Tongue to Get A Shrimp That Had Fell Under The Rack. And A Thrid Joke I Had A Problem With Was The Location Of Springfield. Since the Begining Of The Simpsons, Fans Have Been Searching For Where Springfield Is Located. They Reveal That It's Borders Were Maine, Kentucky, Nevada, And Ohio In This Movie. I Felt These Gags Took The Realism Out Of The Simpsons. I Mean, I Said Earlier That Some Plot Points Were Unrealistic, They're Funny, But Homer With A Frog Tongue Isn't Realistic Ofr Funny. Whatever, I Enjoyed It. Alot. I Would Even Recomend This Movie To Non-Simpsons Fans, Though, They Might Not Enjoy It As Much.
